How the trainer works

Each question is a real starting hand against a dealer upcard, drawn so that every cell of the chart comes up equally often. Rare hands like a pair of 4s against a 5 appear as often as the common ones, which is where most players make mistakes.

Learn the chart in three steps

Start with Pairs: ten rows, and the two rules everyone remembers (split Aces and 8s, never 10s or 5s).
Then Soft totals: most mistakes are standing on soft 17 or 18 when the chart says hit or double.
Finish with Hard totals, then play mixed hands until your streak passes 50.

Which rules does the trainer use?

The same as the simulator: 6 decks, dealer stands on soft 17, double after split allowed, no surrender.

Is a double answer right when I can only hit?

Every question is a two-card starting hand, so doubling and splitting are always allowed.
