How many numbers are on a roulette wheel?

A European or French wheel has 37 pockets: the numbers 1 to 36 and one zero. An American wheel has 38: 1 to 36, zero and double zero. Of 1 to 36, eighteen are red and eighteen are black; the zeros are green.

Red: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 30, 32, 34, 36. Black: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31, 33, 35. The same on every wheel.
