How the Fibonacci strategy works

Each number of the sequence is the sum of the two before it: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89. Bet the current number of units on an even-money chance. After a loss, move one step forward. After a win, move two steps back, never below the start.

Because each number equals the two before it, one win two steps back recovers the last two losses. Bets grow much more slowly than with the martingale: after 10 losses in a row the next bet is 89 units, not 1,024.

What the tester shows

With 1,000 to start, a 5 base bet and 100 spins, about 8 sessions out of 10 end in profit and about 1 in 11 runs out of money. Gains per session stay modest: the method trades big wins for a steady climb.

Its bets grow more slowly, so a losing streak costs less: 143 units after 10 losses against 1,023. The price is a slower recovery: one win does not wipe out the whole losing run.
